Methodology
Clear monthly TikTok Shop product, store, and category research. Here's the straight version of how our numbers are built — what we measure, how we rank it, and how the signals in every report are calculated.
A single snapshot of TikTok Shop US, captured on a monthly schedule. Four areas, one consistent view of the market.
The best-selling products of the month, ranked by sales
Freshly launched items surfaced early, before they scale
The leading shops of the month, ranked by revenue
Every tracked category, broken down by performance
Four stages take raw monthly sales and turn them into reports you can act on.
Every month we pull TikTok Shop US performance into a single snapshot — top and newly launched products, top shops, and every tracked category.
Numbers are normalized and ranked. Products by sales, shops by revenue, categories by market size and growth — so like is compared to like.
From the raw data we derive the signals that matter: month-over-month growth, revenue per shop, how much of the market the largest shops hold, saturation, and barrier-to-entry.
The result is a set of clear monthly reports — at the product, shop, and category level — ready to read and act on. No spreadsheet stitching required.
Plain-English definitions for the signals that appear in the reports.

Average revenue attributable to each active shop — a signal of how much a typical shop earns in the market.
How much of the market revenue is held by the largest shops. Higher means a more concentrated, harder-to-enter market.
How crowded the market is relative to its size — a guide to how much room is left for new sellers.
A qualitative read on how hard it is to compete and how much it takes to break in.
Verified formulas
Tikalytics does not reverse-engineer or invent formulas for fields supplied in a monthly report. The equations below are calculations performed by the free profit-margin tool using the seller’s own assumptions.
sale price − fixed costs − percentage fees
Fixed costs include the entered product, shipping, and advertising costs. Percentage fees combine the entered platform/payment and creator rates.
(profit ÷ sale price) × 100
Margin expresses the estimated per-order profit as a percentage of the entered selling price.
fixed costs ÷ (1 − fee rate)
The calculator does not predict demand, returns, conversion, sales volume, or creator performance.
TikTok Shop performance in the United States — sales and ranking data for products, shops, and categories. Each month is captured as a single snapshot.
Monthly. Reports reflect the most recent completed month, and a fresh set is produced on schedule each month.
As a month-over-month change in revenue, expressed as a signed percentage. Positive means the market or item is growing; negative means it's shrinking.
They are market-research estimates derived from each monthly snapshot, not guaranteed sales totals. Use them to compare products, stores, and categories on a consistent basis.
